Elephants are majestic animals that are the largest land mammals on earth. With elephants facing extinction through inhumane poaching, it’s only right that they deserve to be treated like royalty. The Kuala Gandah National Elephant Conservation Centre does just that.

Situated in a small village in Pahang named Lanchang, this place is home to natural habitat for many elephants rescued from the wild. Here many orphaned elephants are raised and given shelter. Not long after, this place quickly evolved into a popular tourist attraction. Visitors are welcome to interact and feed these majestic creatures as well.

P.S. You might be able to jump in the river and give a good scrub to baby elephants too! (Availability cannot be guaranteed as baby elephants grow rapidly).

For students and curious people, this center also provides an educational platform to raise awareness of the hard work and rehabilitation that goes into protecting these animals. It aims to be an informational place for all families and a fun experience with the elephants.
