Tiffin At The Yard is a beast of an elevated food court, sporting so many vendors that seem to be fleeting in their presence, and with a blend of fresh and old faces within the space, even we can’t keep track of them all! But, we did it. And here are the 5 TOP Places To Eat At Tiffin At The Yard!
1. Fratelli’s Pastificio

Fratelli’s, meaning brothers, and pastificio, meaning pasta factory, reflect the brotherly bond between the two owners with a fiending passion for Italian food! This colourful teal-themed spot serves up authentic, real Italian handmade fresh pasta. As the self-proclaimed first real Italian pastificio in Malaysia, you can be sure that their pasta has that perfect, chewy al-dente bite to it.
The menu
Their menu rotates, but you can be sure that the fettucini, coming in options of Original, Spinach, or Beetroot (how healthy!), is a constant. They also have a selection of 6 different sauces. Shining in simplicity, like the Pesto Genovese, or even the Salmone Rosa. But be sure to keep an eye out for their weekly special ravioli!
Desserts are also served here! Like the traditional sweet ricotta-filled Sicilian-style Cannoli, filled with homemade ricotta, almonds, candied orange peel, and the best part, chocolate!
Pricing
The damage to your wallet, for fine, authentic fresh handmade Italian pasta, is honestly not so bad! Considering you’re at Tiffin At The Yard after all. Their prices for the pasta range from RM20 to RM29. And their desserts? Just about RM10 to RM12. Not bad at all!
Contact
You can contact the fratelli by DM-ing them on their pretty active Instagram account here, or you can visit their website here for more info!
2. The Bao Guys

Born in the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, The Bao Guys are namely a trio of law graduates who started a modern bao cult following just in their tiny condominium home. Now, they have 6 outlets throughout Klang Valley! Their branch at Tiffin is no joke, clearly, because they’ve made it into this list!
Menu
Offering two types of handheld split bao buns, one in Original and one in Black Charcoal, both gloriously deep-fried to a crisp yet fluffy perfection. But the real stars of the show here are the fillings. Sinfully good, meaty, fillings. Try your hand at the masculinely named Cluck Norris, with perfectly fried chicken covered in eggs and a tangy gherkin mayo.
Or for those looking for a vegan option, the Last Vegan, sporting deep fried oyster mushrooms, comes slathered in a chef’s special sriracha glaze!
Pricing
The baos range anywhere between RM10.90 to RM13.90. But for an additional RM6.90, you get to make it a meal with a canned drink and fries, and if fries aren’t your thing, opt for fried oyster mushrooms instead!

3. Toko Makan Maharaja

A collective of top-tier Asian street food, Toko Makan Maharaja has fine-tuned and mastered the craft of street-style Asian eats. With Thai influences throughout the dishes, meals here are savoury, zingy, and so delectable!
Menu
With your typical yet elevated offerings of fried rice (Khao Phat) and Char Kuey Teow, some other Thai offerings come into play too. Like the fiery Thai Red Curry that comes with either chicken or tiger prawns. Or even the saucy chicken Pad Kra Pao that’s seriously a must-try while at Tiffin. It even comes with a gooey sunny side-up egg!
Pricing
While one might wonder why street food might cost upwards of RM18, it’s important to remember that the flavours, quality, and passion that go into the dishes at Toko Makan Maharaja are uniquely theirs. The most that you’ll spend here, anyway, is RM25!

4. Auntie Tok’s

It’s getting a little salty in here, isn’t it? Time for some good old fashioned Malaysian desserts! Auntie Tok’s, famous for their self-made bottled Rose Syrup, or sirap, as we Malaysians call it, that gorgeous pinkish hue can be seen in almost all of their desserts! Touted as the best sirap in the world, we’re inclined to believe it!
Menu
Auntie’s Lime Rose Longan (With Aiyu Jelly) is a tangy, floral dessert that seemingly whisks diners away into simpler times. It’s a perfect, refreshing end to a meal. Or perhaps the start of one if you’d like to be a little deviant. They also serve a fruit punch, loaded with local fruits drizzled with that gorgous sirap. And while you’re looking at Malaysian desserts, how could anyone forget the legendary Ais Kacang?! It’s definitely a must-try, after all, don’t you want a taste of home alongside the best sirap in the world?

5. bored-hanan

Not your typical laksam shop, bored-hanan serves up the creamiest and most seafood-y laksams around! With noodles that are made the traditional way, and with flavours that are inherently Malaysian and traditional, there’s a touch of modernity and freshness in almost everything, from the broth to the dressing to the proteins.
Menu
Their traditional, and most popular option, the Laksam in Traditional Kuah Putih Terengganu with Kesum Oil is a flavour bomb with the addition of the addictive kesum oil. Terengganu-style kuah? Yes please! And the Fried Laksam in Cream of Broccoli is a gastronomical beast that took us by surprise! Super creamy, and yet not cloying. The best part is? It’s vegetarian!
Pricing
Prices at bored-hanan are fair, considering the level of gastronomy that’s served in their dishes. You’ll be spending anywhere from RM18 to RM25 for a dish of laksam. Again, pretty fair!
