Salted Mutiara Damansara offers Sarawak cuisine. Opened since 2015, Salted is already known by the people around Petaling Jaya because of their unusual menu.
The decoration of this shop is very simple but quite interesting. There are portraits of food artists such as a chef, a waiter delivering drinks and even the famous food critic, Anthony Bourdain. The dining room is spacious, comfortable and looks neat. The industrial vibe of their drinks bar gives this small shop a more energetic atmosphere.
The popular dish is of course the Sarawak Laksa which comes in regular or spicy versions. Mee Kolok is a noodle dish with soup and a choice of meat. They offer chicken, meat, seafood, lamb (only on weekends) and the most special, smoked duck.

4. Aunty Christina’s Sarawak Laksa

This is one of the best Sarawak laksa in Klang Valley, no one should object! Aunty Christina’s is said to be the most famous and oldest Sarawak laksa stall in Klang Valley. It has been in operation for more than 50 years since 1960.
To this day, Aunty Christina herself still makes every bowl of Sarawak Laksa with her own hands. The prawns are boiled first, and then peeled to make it easier for customers to eat. Just by looking at the color, you can tell that the prawns are very fresh, and they are medium-sized, which is a major selling point here.
In addition to Sarawak laksa, there’s also pepper pork belly soup here, which is said to be good, because the pepper from East Malaysia is used.
