Andy Choy has built a reputation for excellence, and at NICE Bistronome, he exceeds every expectation. Inspired by Nice (pronounced “niece” in French), a picturesque city in France, NICE Bistronome redefines the concept of a bistro. Located in Petaling Jaya and established in April, this restaurant blends the best of French and Italian cuisine.

Flavours of Italy and France come together in Malaysia

Their Burrata bowl filled with fresh figs and sprinkled with some hazelnut crumble is one of the most recommended dishes on the menu. With an interesting combination of flavours, this is definitely something new and interesting that is rare to find in Malaysia.
Next, their specialty; the Escargot, made using burgundy snails and comes with tomato, duxelle, and coated with delicious herb butter makes for a meaty seafood dish. The prices for this hearty dish range from RM36 for 6 pieces, RM68 for 12, and RM88 for 18.
Their pasta with tiger prawns, topped with a rich crustacean sauce, is also a standout among their recommended dishes. All their pastas are handmade from scratch in their very own kitchen.
For bigger meals, they offer sharing plates such as the Beef Short Rib coated with Mediterranean spice and a side of fries, and a Bouillabaisse containing a bowl of fresh seafood, rouille, and saffron.
Overall the meals are priced on the slightly higher end with meals starting from RM20 for starters to RM200 for sharing plates up to 2 to 4 pax.
The vibes of NICE is really giving French and Italian at the same time, the two beautiful cuisines of Europe come together in this dining experience. For the quality of the environment and the food, it is definitely worth the price!
MFT Reviews

Get lost in the delicious flavours of the sea with NICE’s Tiger Prawns with Crustacean Sauce Pasta, our personal favorite. Taste the savory, umami rich sauce made from various shellfish with their Crustacean Sauce. The Tiger Prawns were big and meaty and mixes well with the perfectly cooked pasta that made the overall taste perfect.
The escargots appeared larger than expected and there was a savory flavor to it as well as a chewy texture. The fragrance from the herb butter was notable and tied the dish together very well. NICE also offers tools to help you in eating the escargots, making sure that you are able to taste every crevice of the dish.
For dessert, the Tiramisu “Dello Chef”, or Chef’s Tiramisu, appears normal and it’s taste is no different than the next Tiramisu. However, it’s worth nothing that the flavor wasn’t overtly sweet and the coffee punch wasn’t as strong as I expected. The overall tiramisu was light and airy with a soft flavor.
A must try, personally, would be the Pistachio Gelato. A great way to end the meal and satisfy your palette. This Pistachio flavoured gelato is anything but ordinary, with a side of pop rocks to dip your ice cream into. It is overall not too sweet and had a mild pistachio taste that was very pleasant and a wonderful way to end the night.
NICE Bistronome really has you covered with the best of what Italy and France has to offer. Buon appetito, mes amis ~
