On the lower floor, Dodoo Kitchen boasts casual intimate dining with unique mains. When you make your way to the top floor, however, you’ll step into VCR Bakehouse. This hip cafe focuses on bakery goods for daytime coffee meetups.

Step into VCR Bakehouse and you’ll be greeted by a colourful graffiti mural by renowned street artist Kenji Chai. The mural adds a cool artsy vibe to the venue, giving customers an escape from the bustle of the city.

The lighting in this cafe plays a huge role in creating a stunning colourful interior. The pastel blue skylight from above gives you the “sky inside your home” feel, while the orange light beaming at the corners gives off sunset vibes; a picturesque spot for cafe hoppers!

Desserts are also a highlight at VCR Bakehouse, including petit gateaux and lemon meringue pie (RM12) that’s uniquely shaped like tacos, topped with gold flakes and rose petals. For the perfect pairing, opt for VCR’s house blend coffee beverages with the lemon meringue pie, which balances the tanginess and acidity of the lemon curd.
Savoury Delights with a Twist
Like their delicious pastries, VCR Bakehouse’s savory delights also don’t fall short. Bringing a whimsy twist to your usual burgers, the cafe replaces burger buns with their signature circular pusing croissants. Their Burger Ayam Double (RM19) is a hearty classic meal of two chicken patties sandwiched between a sunny-side-up egg, cucumber, and tomato.

Not leaving out their other savoury items, the Bakehouse also has creative “croissan’wich” options like the Tuna & Egg Croissan’wich (RM19) and breakfast menus like the Dodoo Breakie (RM27) and Avocado Toast (RM23).

For a local taste, you can go for their Gula Melaka Latte (RM14). Not a coffee type of person? That’s completely fine as you can still indulge in their extensive tea selection of Kombucha drinks and Japanese Cha(s).
