myBurgerLab Plans to Go International!

With 6 outlets across Malaysia and 25 more to open locally by December 2025, myBurgerLab plans to go international!

We all know and love myBurgerLab’s signature gourmet burgers and wacky Malaysian flavours. But will other countries feel the same way about myBurgerLab’s unique take on gourmet burgers?

In a statement made with Tatler Asia, myBurgerLab’s co-founder and CEO Chin Ren Yi reveals MBL’s plan to expand internationally.

The partner and shareholder

Partnering up with a major shareholder in the company, the partnership will provide the financial backing and invaluable insights and expertise, Chin states.

The shareholder, Karthiik Doraisingam, also happens to be myBurgerLab’s executive director. Acquiring 47.5% of the stakes in myBurgerLab this past february, the founder and CEO of Lotus Capital DKR bought the shares from two of myBurgerLab’s co-founders. Both of whom have now exited the company.

Plans to go international in Indonesia, Singapore, and the Middle East

MBL’s plans to expand internationally will include Indonesia, Singapore, and the Middle East.

CEO Chin has also stated that the plans to expand internationally are a testament to myBurgerLab’s confidence in its brand strength, as well as their readiness to cater to a global audience’s palettes. All whilst maintaining the quality and values that make myBurgerLab what it is.

The goal, he stated, is to nurture myBurgerLab’s roots in Malaysia while positioning itself as a global burger destination.

Under an Instagram post, myBurgerLab’s official account commented,

“In the short term (2024) the focus is north and south of the peninsula while maintaining the standards in food and service quality. We hope that we do Malaysia proud on the years to come. Thank you for everyone’s support.”

Plans to open said international outlets outline them to be in late 2025, as the negotiations are still underway.
