LYL’s impressive circuit is set to make its mark in the Malaysia Book of Records as Asia’s largest go-karting track. Since its establishment in 1995, the Malaysia Book of Records has been the official authority for recognising remarkable feats in the country, and now, this circuit is poised to join that legacy.
With its vast space and top-tier facilities, the LYL International Karting Circuit is also equipped to host exciting events.
Spilling all the deets

Here’s everything you need to know about the LYL International Karting Circuit for an exciting and safe experience.
The circuit itself spans 1.5 kilometres, featuring a variety of thrilling obstacles, including six high-speed straights, 15 sharp corners, four fun chicanes (a serpentine curve), and even a gravity-defying flyover.
You can race solo or enjoy the experience with a friend. Choose the single kart for a solo ride, or the dual kart, which comes with two steering wheels, perfect for first-timers who are a little nervous and prefer to be a passenger princess.
Additionally, a grand prix race will be coming soon for challengers aged 18 and above (cool, huh?). Each go-karting session is 10 minutes long.

Safety is a priority, so all riders are required to wear a balaclava, closed-toe shoes, and gloves. These can be bought on site, or you can bring your own gear. Helmets are a must and will be provided.
Do note that all drivers are required to be minimum 10 years old, and of a height of minimum 140cm.
While walk-ins are accepted, it’s recommended to pre-book your session by calling +60107610598. Otherwise, the wait time can be pretty long.
Once you arrive, you’ll need to register through their kiosks, or you can scan a QR code on your phone. This process is essential to receive your kart number, and to track your speed and progress throughout the circuit.
After registering, proceed to the counter for payment, then attend a short safety briefing. You’ll be guided to the track area, where free lockers are available for your belongings, and you can pick up your helmet before racing.
LYL International Karting Circuit is currently offering opening promotions, valid until December 31st, 2024.
- 270cc kart: RM70 per person (original RM85)
- 390cc kart: RM85 per person (original RM100)
- Dual kart: RM115 per person (original RM130)
What the go-kart experience was like

During our company outing at LYL International Karting Circuit, we were all buzzing with excitement, eager to race each other and unleash our inner adrenaline junkies.
As we cracked jokes and teased one another, the competitive spirit was high, and we couldn’t wait to zoom around the track.
We raced in diesel-powered karts, with the boys and a few girls taking on the hairpin turns and sweeping bends with ease, fully embracing the thrill of the experience. Don’t worry, there are marshals dotted around the circuit, ensuring your safety throughout the session.

As someone who’s severely claustrophobic, I hadn’t considered the discomfort of wearing a balaclava and helmet before getting into the kart. The moment I slipped the helmet on, panic set in, but by then, it was too late to back out!
Thankfully, once I hit the track, the breeze and speed helped ease my nerves, and I was able to enjoy the ride. To all my claustrophobic mates out there, I’d suggest preparing mentally for the experience.
Despite that initial hiccup, the go-kart experience itself was incredibly fun. We all got to let loose and have a bit of fun after a long day at the office. As the circuit is located quite literally in the middle of nowhere, the air felt fresher, the breeze welcomed, and speeding without worrying about getting a saman was exhilarating.
While bad weather may affect your session, you’ll receive a voucher to reschedule. Light rain doesn’t pose much of a problem, though heavy rain or strong winds could lead to cancellations for safety.
To those with a need for speed

Overall, LYL International Karting Circuit offers a memorable experience for adrenaline enthusiasts.
Yes, it is on the pricey side for an experience that only lasts a mere 10 minutes, but that seems to be the standard rate for activities like this these days. It all depends on how much you’re willing to fork out for some high-speed fun.
So, if you’re looking for a quick thrill, we’d highly recommend this go-kart experience.
