Travellers and flyers rejoice! Convenience comes flying in as Malaysia Airlines now has check-ins and baggage drops at KL Sentral.
For Malaysia Airlines flyers only
Though check-ins and baggage drops are only available for Malaysia Airlines flyers, this is only for the time being. Subsequent airlines are to follow suit. Leave the travel hassle behind as you check, drop, and go.
From 6 AM – 10 PM, passengers will be able to enjoy the convenience of checking in and dropping off their luggage to be sent off to KLIA Terminal 1. Passengers will also receive their boarding passes directly at KL Sentral. Whilst their bags are being security scanned and tagged to their final destination, just like in the airport.
Convenience and reliability promised
The Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) Chief Executive Officer has stated that it was only right to relaunch Malaysia Airlines’s in-town flight check-in facility. They were the first airline to offer check-in services in the first place. They’ve also stated,
“With the in-town flight check-in, air travellers can avoid queuing at the airport and have more time to enjoy a meal, change currency, or shop while waiting to board their flight.
“Passengers can rest assured that their baggage will be safely transferred to the airport just as we have done in the past 17 years, with a near-perfect record,”.
A deal for KLIA Ekspress
Both ERL and Malaysia Airlines have stated that their goal for reopening the in-town flight check-in facility was to offer convenience. As well as time-saving benefits, and the luxury of arriving at the airport luggage-free.
ERL is also offering flyers with KLIA Ekspress tickets RM10 off their tickets! The vouchers will be granted to each adult passenger from Malaysia Airlines’s in-town flight check-in facility counter at KL Sentral. These are valid for redemption up till December 31, 2023.
Note that those who intend on using the service at KL Sentral, travelling domestically or internationally, have to check in at least two hours before their flight departure time. Happy flying!
