Chinatown is already Kuala Lumpur’s favourite maze of neon, music, and late-night energy. From 1 December, Jameson is turning it into the city’s biggest festive playground.
For the first time ever, a full 44-bar Jameson Christmas Trail is happening nationwide with 31 bars across the Klang Valley, including several key stops around Chinatown that anchor the KL experience.
At the centre of it all is the giant Jameson Christmas Tree at Kwai Chai Hong. It sets the tone, a festive anchor and an unmistakable meet-up point before the bar-hopping begins.
It’s bold, it’s social, and exactly the kind of Christmas that the KL crowd shows up for. The best part is the simplicity. No tickets, no pressure, no fixed routes.
Here are the 31 Klang Valley bars taking part in the Jameson Christmas Trail, tick off as many as you can this December:
Up & Away | Humboldt | ConcubineJann | Sol | Remedy
XO | The REX Bar | Salty Sippy

20 December: When the Jameson trail turns into a day-to-night festival

Once the bar trail has settled in as the highlight of December, Jameson turns things up a level with the Jameson Cheers & Cheer Christmas Party on 20 December.
During the day, Chinatown transforms into a lively creative block party. Expect a daytime market with streetwear drops, vintage and preloved racks, sneakers, CDs, records, and curated booths from local makers.
The afternoon is powered by DJs Mdm Woo, Saucie J, Julia Deychuk, Kvn Kelvin, and Viene, playing everything from disco to tech house to Afro house. Enjoy coffee raves and sip on seasonal drinks like Jameson Irish Coffee to complete the mood.
After sunset, the celebration stretches across several venues in Chinatown. The line-up features Vanns Ngo, X.U. and Kent, MyllerFox, Gasing, Ethan Chu, Sam Wong, and Chaseylain and Ribut. The vibe ranges from electronic and hip hop to future beats and open-format sets, creating a Christmas party that feels energetic, eclectic, and unmistakably KL.
Not in KL? Jameson’s festive trail pops up in Johor and Penang too!

In Johor, the Jameson Christmas Party takes place on 19 December, featuring Noyee & The Star, and festive cocktails served throughout the month.
Up north, Penang hosts its own Jameson Christmas Trail on 25 December, with a multi-venue night including Backdoor Bodega, No Bar Here, Good Friends Club, and Batu Cafe. The daytime market and coffee rave also run at Batu Cafe.
Beyond the parties, Penang is also hosting a Three Charred and Crafted Christmas Menu series from 26 November to 26 December, and the real draw here is the venues themselves. Each restaurant is presenting a limited Jameson Black Barrel–inspired dish or pairing, but the experience is elevated by who is behind it.
Firewood, ranked #68 on the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants and a Michelin Selected restaurant for 2026, brings its signature wood-fired style to a Black Barrel pairing that highlights both smoke and richness in a single course.

Lucky Hole, led by chef Waymann Cheong who won the Young Chef Award at the 2025 Michelin Guide Ceremony, offers its own festive interpretation with a char-driven dish and dessert that lean into chef-driven creativity rather than gimmicks.
Over at Rembar, known for its modern take on Southeast Asian flavours, the team has created a comforting, locally inspired Black Barrel dish (Three Cup Chicken, or san bei ji) paired with a tropical-leaning cocktail that fits their playful spirit.
All three stops sit within easy walking distance of each other, making this crafted menu series a smooth mini food trail. You can begin or end the journey at the Jameson Christmas Tree near Hin Bus Depot, an easy landmark if you are venturing through Penang’s creative quarter this December.
