Hey, fried rice fans—brace yourselves because Uncle Roger has just opened his third outlet in Malaysia, and this time, it’s in MyTOWN Shopping Centre. That’s not even the best part! Uncle Roger is also kindly slashing prices to make sure all his “nieces and nephews” can enjoy his legendary fried rice without breaking the bank.

Not your everyday economy-style fried rice

Now, if you’ve been keeping up with Uncle Roger’s culinary empire, you know he’s not just proud of his fried rice game, he’s got a full-on passion for it. He’s got that wok-tossing skill down to an art, and it’s clear he’s all about creating the perfect fried rice experience.

Regardless of how he perceives his cooking skills, not all fans are thrilled with the hefty price tag. If you visited FUIYOH! It’s Uncle Roger at Pavilion KL, you’ll know that the famous fried rice comes with a little extra bling, priced at RM18 per plate. A bit of a splurge, right? Most of us are probably thinking, “Why not just go to Uncle Soon’s Fried Rice and call it a day?”

It seems that Uncle Roger has heard the cries of the people. The comments. The videos. The “I can’t afford this, but I need to try that fried rice!” posts (You know who you are).

On Facebook, Alfred Ng even jokingly asked, “Pavilion KL RM18 because Pavilion. IPC means RM8 or RM10? Asking for a friend,” and let’s be honest, we were all secretly wondering the same thing.

Well, ask and you shall receive, because Uncle Roger is officially slashing prices at his brand new MyTOWN outlet. Previously priced at RM18, a plate of fried rice is now RM16. Not only has the price been reduced slightly, but the portions are reportedly going to be bigger too.

Is it worth the price now, netizens?

It seems Uncle Roger is truly looking out for his “nieces and nephews” by serving up those hearty portions of fried rice without emptying your wallet. So, if you’ve been eyeing that plate of fried rice but hesitated because of the price, now’s your chance to dig in—who knows if it’ll shoot back up to RM18 or more.

PJ folks, time to do a little happy dance because you no longer have to battle the infamous KL traffic just to satisfy your fried rice cravings. Now, you can enjoy the magic of Fuiyoh! fried rice closer to home, where you’ll be pleased to know that Uncle Roger has generously lowered the price to RM16 at his IPC Shopping Centre outlet too.

Yes, I’m well aware that two ringgit might seem like chump change to some, but for those who’ve been dying to try Uncle Roger’s world-famous fried rice, that RM2 difference is a win any Malaysian will take. It’s the perfect excuse to see if his fried rice truly lives up to the hype—even if you’re on a budget. After all, every little bit helps, right? Plus, with those larger portions, you’ll definitely feel like you’re getting a better bang for your buck. It’s a win-win!

The only question left is, does it actually taste like an RM16 plate of fried rice?

Who can resist a family discount?

Is Uncle Roger’s move to drop prices a game-changer? Well, I guess we’ll find out soon enough.

To all Uncle Roger’s fans (a.k.a. his beloved nieces and nephews), if you’ve been waiting to try Uncle Roger’s legendary fried rice without spending an arm and a leg, your time has come.

It’s time to give in to your curiosity and open up that wallet because the fried rice you’ve been dreaming of is now a little more affordable. Head on over to the new MyTOWN outlet or swing by IPC.
