2. Poppy Kat

Cats, croffles, and coffee? Yes please! Poppy Kat started off as a humble cafe with just two little kitties. Now, they have nearly 10 cats or maybe even more. The cafe boasts a unique and minimalist interior with hues of terracotta and sienna. It is a cosy and relaxing environment, and you can easily spend hours here.

3. Cemeon Cafe

A cat lover’s paradise? We think so. We’re doubtful you’ll ever see another cat cafe with this many cats. This particular spot is actually a house in Bangsar, which means they have plenty of space for all their cats.

Each person has to pay a steep RM32, but you get a free drink (bottled water, 100PLUS, or Coca-Cola) and a sachet of cat treats. Not to mention, quality time with 20-30 clingy and affectionate cats! Worth the price? You tell us. You will find a large number of ragdolls, a couple of bengals, and even a munchkin.

While this spot claims to be a cafe, its main focus is allowing patrons to spend time with their kitties. They have a selection of lattes all priced at RM6.90, but do not expect a food menu as you will be disappointed. If you don’t want to worry about parking, this cafe is about a 20-minute walk from the Bangsar LRT station. Want to be surrounded by adorable cats? This is the spot for you.

Cemeon Cafe

4. Cats & You Cafe

In Puchong territory, you’ll find Cats & You Cafe. This muslim-friendly cat cafe serves food downstairs and reserves cat playtime for its upstairs space, the “Cat Villa”. Order something from the menu and you’re free to spend time with their cats upstairs.

The menu offers a selection of typical cafe food like fried chicken chop and fish and chips, they also have cakes, a selection of drinks, and a set-lunch from 12:00-3:00pm at only RM18.90. A fair warning, the cats here are on the tamer and quieter side, but there are a range of long-haired and short-haired cats. The cafe is air-conditioned, clean, and spacious. Definitely check this place out if you’re in the area.

5. Yugi Cafe

This cat playground in Emporis has 4.7 stars on Google for a reason. Yugi is a glasshouse inspired cat cafe that is lively and boasts a fun cat playground. The cafe specialises in desserts, serving up a range of waffles, cupcakes, cakes, and pastries. The waffles here are crispy, buttery, and served with a generous scoop of ice cream, a popular order amongst patrons.

If you are only there for the cats, you will have to fork out RM15 per hour, which to some, is a small price to pay for some cuddle time with their felines.

Like Cemeon Cafe in Bangsar, Yugi too has a LOT of cats. You will find that they do have a lot of grey cats. Most of the kitties here are curious, young, and playful. You can bring your own cats too, giving them a chance to mingle with other cats. Plastered along the walls of this establishment are pictures and the names of each cat. How adorable is that? Dessert and cat cuddles anyone? Head on over to Yugi Cafe.

6. Spring Spring cafe

Tucked away in Taman Paramount is this cat cafe that houses 8 adorable cats. Biased opinion, but Jingo is definitely the cutest kitty there! They sell cat treats at the counter for RM5 if you want to pamper their furry babies.

This place is perfect if you want to recharge with a good cup of matcha and some cat therapy. The interior is zen-inspired and minimalistic with soft lighting. It is clean, spacious, and even has a tiny garden section. The food available is simple and comforting with a selection of mains and pastries.

Once again, the cats are the main attraction, but the beverages and desserts have been highlighted in countless Google reviews. If you’re in the area and have a couple of hours to kill, you have to drop by.

7. Mao Catfe

For those who do not frequent Seri Kembangan, you may never have heard of Mao Catfe. Yet, this spot has 4.7 stars with nearly 200 reviews on Google. The interior leans towards a rustic-bohemian design and we would say that it is bigger than your average cat cafe.

At Mao Catfe, they sell a range of feline necessities from collars, toys, and clothes, to adornments, treats, and more. This place feels a little boujee and the resident cats are absolutely gorgeous and groomed to perfection. They offer stellar grooming services as well. Some patrons have even commented that this spot should be recognised as a must-visit destination for tourists who adore cats.

The cat playroom is upstairs and separate from the cafe. The playroom is so aesthetically pleasing and adorable with tiny holes in the walls for the cats to hide out in. They have a pamphlet available with all the cats names, pictures, and a short description about their personality. We love that!

The menu here is rather extensive. They have a range of beverages from RM14 and below, bingsu, main dishes, and lots of desserts and pastries for you to choose from! This is a cat cafe that pays plenty of attention to both the cat and cafe aspects of their establishment, as they excel in both areas. Mao catfe is like a cool clubhouse for cat enthusiasts. This is one you do not want to miss out on.

P.S. You can bring your own cats there too!

8. Cuffymeow Cat Cafe

Last but not least, we have in Bukit Jalil, Cuffymeow Cat Cafe. The entry fee is a little higher at this last spot at RM28 every 30 minutes and RM68 for a day pass. Each entry comes with 1 packet of free cat treats and they sell additional treats at RM8. An additional RM5 is charged every 10 minutes after your initial 30 minutes, and you pay before leaving.

The drink and snack options here are limited so don’t expect to be able to have a full meal. All that being said, the cats here are fluffy, adorable, and dare I say, a little chonky. There is an intricate playground set-up for the cats along the wall. If you’re willing to fork out RM68 for the day pass, we say that’s a day well spent!
