You don’t have to lift a finger…

To cook your meal, the staff start by lining your claypot with some lamb lard—you know it’s going to be good when they start cooking with lard. Next, they place the pot over a charcoal fire. This is the traditional way of cooking a claypot hotpot in China.

Then garlic, ginger, and other necessary aromatics are thrown into the heated pot and left to sizzle for a couple of minutes before the lamb meat is added in.

After a few minutes, they pour a dash of Chinese wine over the meat and set it on fire! By this point, the aroma wafting out is divine and will make you drool in your seats.

Finally, they pour in the broth of your choice and add fresh toppings such as coriander, mushroom, radish, and more, bringing this to a boil. You can order from their ample variety of additional dishes to add to your pot. Their options, from handmade lamb meatballs to premium sliced pork shoulder, aim to not disappoint.

What to expect?

You can dip the chunks of lamb into their mint sauce or their signature beancurd sauce, both of which add a punch of flavour. The well-marinated meat remains tender, even without the sauces. The lamb cuts here do not have a gamey aroma and taste that some people dislike. Packed with ingredients, the broths have a rich and hearty flavour, while maintaining a light consistency that’s easy to consume.

The best part? The broths are refillable! 阿广小厨 Ah Guang Kitchen also has a membership for RM30 that gives you access to discounted prices, promotions, and more.

This is the perfect meal for a gloomy, rainy day. Leave your growling tummy in the capable hands of these lamb experts!
