It’s a bittersweet moment for local bibliophiles. BookXcess KL East Mall has announced its imminent closure after having served the local community since March 2021. While all good things have to come to an end, all is not entirely bad. After all, a clearance sale will be held throughout this March, with books going for as cheap as RM1.

The “Kaw Kaw Clearance Sale” will last from 1st to 31st March, with the announcement made via BookXcess’ Instagram account and a newsletter sent out to BookXcess members and subscribers. The newsletter reads, “From the 1st till the 31st of March, come over to our KL East Mall outlet to get books as low as RM1 and extra discounts on our bestsellers.”
