But still, when the craving kicks in, you can’t help yourself from wanting to take a delicious bite of that juicy, charred wagyu… Can we blame you?

Absolutely not!

Luckily, we found a spot that serves a complete wagyu lunch set for only RM68! Awagyu Yakiniku serves up the freshest and most premium A5 wagyu, plus an array of classic Japanese dishes as well. They serve over 26 different types of wagyu here, and everything is imported from Tokushima, Japan.

Not only will you get to savour premium wagyu, but it wont even burn a hole in your pocket.

If all sounds tempting to you but there’s a big question mark popping into your head about the Halal status… Don’t worry, because this restaurant is officially Halal-certified by JAKIM.

The RM68 wagyu lunch set

As a meat lover, it’s normal to have a preference on the meat parts that’s your favourite. For this wagyu lunch set, you’ll get Momo and Katabara, which is the thigh part of the cow and short rib.

The Momo wagyu is leaner with less marbling. So when you grill it, you’ll get that perfect charred crust that makes it the perfect combo when paired with rice.

Meanwhile, the Katabara wagyu has more marbling with a more fat content, making it juicier, beefy and more flavourful.

One set comes with a bowl of rice, miso soup with salad as sides. For the wagyu, you’ll get an equal amount of Momo and Katabara wagyu, 4 cuts each. The Yakiniku sauce is just the perfect dip, aromatic, and tasty in the best way possible.

What if I come in a group?

If you’ve managed to convince your colleagues to have lunch here together, then get their Mini Whole Wagyu Platter. It comes with a huge platter of 14 different wagyu cuts, some of which include Shank, Kainomi, Takujo Karubi, Tenderloin, and Hiuchi. There are mini labels on the wagyu platter, so you can refer to the different parts of cow that you’re eating.

All of the meats are delicious in their own way, but our favourite has to be their Sirloin, which has a perfect balance of fat and meat. Not to forget the Takujou Karabi, which is so tender yet has a strong flavour that becomes a match made in heaven when paired with the Yakiniku sauce.

Meanwhile, their beef tongue is bouncy and chewy, and has a great texture. Even if you’re not a fan of tongue dishes, we urge you to give it a try!

This set costs RM418, which is perfect to dine for 3 – 4 pax.

However, if you’re keen to try a more premium option, you should definitely order their Premium Yakiniku Combo Set. For RM290, you’ll not only get to savour 8 different premium meat cuts, but you’ll also get a lot more side dishes like chawanmushi, gyoza, california maki, chicken thighs, wafu green salad, and kimchi pickles with miso soup.

Other dishes that leave us feeling warm and filling is without a doubt their Mix Shabu Veggie Platter (RM36). The Sukiyaki soup has that balance of warm, sweet and flavourful, it makes you go ‘aaahhh’ with a single slurp.

Not to forget their Ontama Gyu Don (RM32), an equally hearty dish with its thinly sliced beef smouldered in savoury sauce, topped with a soft-boiled egg.
