  1. Shah Alam Extreme Park

As the name suggests, this park is catered especially for those who need their adrenaline fix. Skateboarders will love this park as it features a concrete bowl and many street features that will leave you flipping! There’s also a bike park with a BMX race course and North Shore Elements. Don’t feel like skating? Other activities are available too like wall climbing, paintball and futsal. Grab a bite at KFC or Burger King if you feel peckish from all the energy spent! Feel extreme at Shah Alam Extreme Park!

  1. Bukit Jalil National Stadium Skatepark

Situated next to the Bukit Jalil National stadium, this skatepark is hard to miss. Quite a number of banks and ledges will keep testing your skateboarding skills, keeping the session constantly stimulating. For newbies or those who love to cruise around, the wide, tiled concourses are perfect for you. Skateboarding classes are held frequently here, so if you want to get your hands on a skateboarding sifu, drop by here on the weekends!

Skatepark at a neighborhood sports complex? We got you! USJ 1 Skatepark is located in a residential area and is a famous haunt among young skaters and skateboarders to mingle and share new skills. Self-funded by the regular skateboarders here, the obstacles are built by themselves! Now that’s true sk8ter lurve! There are ramps, platforms and grindboxes for all levels of skaters. If you aren’t tired from all that skateboarding, bounce a basketball or kick around a football! This is a skatepark for the whole sportie gang!

  1. Mont Kiara Skatepark

The revamped Mont Kiara Skatepark has all the sk8rs pumping their fists in the air! Many hands have gone into the revamp, mainly the Youth & Sports Ministry, Vans and UMobile. Expect the look of the park to be really funky thanks to these organizations who put us Malaysian youth front and centre! There are lots of ledges with different heights and even a spine plus some quarter pipes. What more could a skater ask for! Skateboarding lessons are also available by former national athletes if you want to professionally learn the flips! I’m heading to Mont Kiara Skatepark now, are you?

  1. Sungai Kantan Youth Park

Also known as the “Satay Skatepark” or “Converse Skatepark”, the youngsters at Kajang are no strangers to this place. It features a variety of ramps and rails that allow even the newbies to try their hand (or leg) at skateboarding. Relaunched in 2017 in collaboration with Converse apparel company (that’s why the nickname), this park is now active with its numerous loyal visitors, especially those around Kajang. You can also enjoy a round of badminton, football, futsal or basketball at this youth park! High five!

  1. TTDI Mini Ramp

When Mont Kiara Skatepark closed for renovations in 2019, a group of diehard skateboarders in TTDI came up with this mini ramp, located in the locale of Taman Tun Dr Ismail. This ramp which was originally a part of the old Mont Kiara Skatepark was bought by the skateboarders themselves, completely self-funded! Located on the field in front of KGB Burgers, this ramp welcomes all those who truly want to skate and you can see them patiently waiting their turn to have a go. Now this is a ramp with a touching story and a showcase of Malaysian spirit!

  1. Taman Tasik Cempaka Skatepark

Located in a public park, Taman Tasik Cempaka Skatepark is well-known to BBB residents. Crowded during the weekends with families, the skatepark becomes a congregating area for the teens to meet and skate while their parents and siblings take a walk around the park. With a fair amount of ramps and banks to practice on, this park is a great place for those who are just foraying into the world of skating or skateboarding.

Established by The Seaskate Company, this skatepark is for those surfskaters. What exactly is the difference between skateboarding and surfskating? The board for one. The surfskate board is designed to mimic the feel and flow of surfing on waves, leaving skaters with a unique surfing experience in the city. Seaskate Wavepark is an indoor surfskate wavebank for intermediate surfskaters who are looking for some extra challenge. Sounds exciting? Try surfskating instead of skateboarding and be immersed in the street waves!

Baby on the skateboard scene or skateboarding pundit? Not to worry, as this skatepark in 1 Utama is for all you skateboarders out there! There are plenty of flat areas for beginners and several obstacle courses for the pros out there. The best part about this park is the routes it has. You can choose to cruise on skimming flat areas or hit the ramps or even grind on the rails. An overhead bridge shelters skateboarders from the rain and heat, skate anytime! Definitely trying out our skateboards at this park real soon!
