For when you get that hankering for a warm comforting bowl of Tomyam, we’ve compiled a list of Tomyam spots that will transport you to Thailand!

1. Soi 55 Thai Kitchen

Their name comes from the Thai word ‘soi’, meaning street, and ‘55’ meaning “ha ha” (laughter), serving up authentic Thai cuisine at multiple locations all over KL! They are most famous for their Signature Seafood Tomyam, having served over 437,055 bowls of it throughout all of their outlets. It comes with fish, squid, and shrimp, the perfect symphony of fresh seafood in the spicy broth that packs a punch! Be sure to check out their creamy otak-otak that comes served in a whole coconut!

2. The Piggy Mookata

Mu Kratha, or more commonly known as mookata, is a South-East Asian cooking method originating from Thailand. Mu meaning ‘pig’ or ‘pork’ and kratha meaning ‘pan’ or ‘skillet’. It typically involves a special pot that holds both a grill and soup at the same time. At The Piggy Mookata, they use a real charcoal fire to cook the whole affair, imbuing it with smoky, charred deliciousness. Here, you can grill away fatty cuts of pork while your choice of soup bubbles away at the bottom. Of course, their Tomyam Red (or white!) packs a sour punch while pairing rather pleasantly with the grilled fare. All of this alongside their homemade Thai green chili sauce definitely sets off fireworks on your tongue!
