1. Restoran Jaipur Mahal

Inspired by Jaipur, the renowned pink city of hospitality of Rajasthan, Restoran Jaipur Mahal treats each and every patron like family. Anyone stepping through the doors is immediately greeted with the aroma of spices floating through the air. Offerings like the Jaipur Mahal Special Sizzling platter, coming with 6 different types of tandoori protein, are sure to blow your tastebuds off, as well as the Murgh Jalfrezi, a burning dish topped off with tons of imported Indian chilli powder that gives it that extra oomph! Also, the mango lassi here is so kaw, it’ll cool and soothe your tongue with its fruity sweetness!

2. Anjappar Restaurant

Making its way into this list for its banging Chettinadian cuisine, you’ll definitely not want to miss out on the good eats you can find in this treasure trove of a spot. If you like the burn, we definitely recommend the Koonthal Masala Ularthu. Fresh, juicy squid stir-fried in a seriously spicy masala marinade! Or if seafood isn’t typically your first choice, the Chicken Curry packs a surprisingly intense kick too! Be sure to come a little earlier, as parking is known to be a little difficult at this spot!

3. Khan’s Indian Cuisine

For an upscale dining experience, you’ll want to head over to Khan’s Indian Cuisine. With modern furnishings sprawling everywhere throughout the restaurant, dining here feels classy and elevated. Odd, since you’ll be sweating buckets when you try these dishes. We recommend the Fish Head Curry for its powerful punch, gentle piquant flavour, and perfect sharing portion! Whilst you’re there, definitely grab a bowl of Masala Chicken, it’s so well-spiced and juicy that it’ll blow your socks off! The perfect place for a gathering, be sure to bring tons of friends and family to this restaurant!

4. Tandoori Hut

Operating for over 20 years, Tandoori Hut in the 2000s was a hut-styled shop that specialised in naan bread and charcoal fire tandoori chicken. Their side dishes were, to say the least, spectacular. Cut to the present, their quality and deliciousness remain at an all time high! You can’t go to Tandoori Hut without getting the Tandoori Chicken, of course. With a kick that assaults your taste buds with flavour and spices, you should not miss out on this delectable dish. Pair your proteins with their famous naan. Of course, you should get the Garlic Naan. Perfectly crispy and fluffy, wrapping it around your spicy meats will definitely transport you to India! Also, you’ve got to show up to this restaurant during off-peak hours, ever since they went viral, it’s been mega-packed!

5. Uncle Mani’s Banana Leaf Restaurant

This spot serves a rare variety of a claypot dish: Nasi Lemak Goreng Claypot! We know, it sounds odd, but listen when we say it’s one of the best nasi lemak we’ve ever had! The addition of charred rice bits at the bottom of the claypot really sealed the deal for us. This nasi lemak packs some serious heat, almost too much for us to bear! Also served here is a Banana Leaf Rice Meal Set, which comes with a variety of seriously spicy curry! Also be sure to pair these items with the restaurant’s famous Tenggiri Fish Fry! Air-conditioned and cosy, this spot is great for catching up with friends!

6. Madhu Curry Hs

Located in a food court that mainly serves up Malay food, the Indian offerings from Madhu Curry Hs are surprisingly, the bomb! Like a diamond hidden in the rough, the biryani here is also stunning! Fragrant, brightly coloured to appetise you, and sooo flavourful. And of course, we’re here to talk about the curry! The fish curry is spicy, tangy, and aromatic from the unique blend of spices they add in there! That extra homemade touch just adds that extra homey feel.

Address: No 4, Medan selera Pekan Salak, 43900 Sepang, Selangor

7. NZ Curry House

Famed for their KLCC outlet, one quality that we’ve noticed in the Wangsa Maju outlet is that the kuah for their nasi kandar here is on another level! They’re somewhat more or less the same in flavour, but in spice? Off the charts! Mix your kuah for the perfect plate of nasi kandar for you! What to pair your nasi kandar with? The satay they serve here of course! Chunky, meaty, tender, and just perfectly seasoned. Also, the beef soup here is peppery, with unctuous umami notes! With plenty of seats, this restaurant can accommodate more than your entire kampung!

8. SS Spicy Food

With a name like SS Spicy Food, you just know that stuff here packs a serious punch! The restaurant serves up a whole myriad of sets with white rice, coming with not only a protein, but also a vegetable dish of your choice! We opt for their insanely spicy Mutton Masala set that’ll send your mouth ablaze! Some other heaty options at this restaurant include the Chicken Varuval, and the Sotong Sambal! Don’t miss out on those dishes, as they’re both in their own right succulent, spicy, and delicious!
