Sarawak is just beyond our expectations! From scenic views when you wake up in the morning to one of the friendliest people, we’ve met to the cutest Orang Utan sighting!! We love how soaked we are with the culture! Now, there are tons to see in Sarawak that we feel you all should go to!
Here are 6 places you must visit in Sarawak😁:
1. The Borneo Music Festival

We partied like there was no tomorrow at The Borneo Music Festival! There were international artists like DJ SODA and Alan Walker!! They even have neon face painting, amazing food, lighting design and amazing DJs that make you dance!
2. Borneo Cultural Museum

You can learn a lot about the spiritual belief each tribe has. The ceiling-high exhibitions were even a sight to behold. Our favourite was the Shamanism Exhibition. The best was the interactive station like the giant history book, floor puzzle, and a digital map illustrating the history. The VR headset station was super cool too!
3. Home-cooked meal by a Bidayuh tribe

Its located in a Rumah Panjang or known as a longhouse. It is situated in a village that is over 300 years old! We had delicious Ayam Pansoh, Paku Belacan, Terong Dayak, and more! They were so kind to us and the portion was really generous! You can even Home brewed tuak bottle at only RM 15.
4. Catch the cutest Orang Utan

It is located in a forest that has been there for decades. To see Selina the orangutan swinging from one tree to another while captivating the beauty of the forest is a one-of-a-kind experience!
5. The Sarawak Cultural Village

Try walking on the Bamboo bridge upon entering. It’s a quite scary but super cool way to learn that this bridge is what they used to cross the rivers! You can take part in learning the traditional dances with the locals! Learn about all the tribes that exist in Sarawak! Visit their homes by walking on a unique Bamboo bridge!
6. Eat Sarawak Kolo Mee & Laksa

This is definitely a must-eat when you’re in Sarawak.
Even though we were there for only a few days, we can’t wait to come back to experience Sarawak again!
